Joint Workshop on Circular Economy Economic Modelling

The EU & ANR projects: DECEP, PEPR Recyclage and CircEUlar, together with TSC from Tilburg University, RRECQ, Irege-USMB, CEE-ZHAW and LNEG are pleased to announce a joint workshop on Circular Economy Economic Modelling, scheduled to take place on Monday 29 th of June 2026 in Lisboa. This workshop will precede the World Conference of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE) and aims to provide a platform for researchers, especially young non-tenured economists, interested in advancing our understanding of the economic aspects of circular economies. The event is a related event endorsed by WCERE.
The workshop will feature a keynote address by Reyer Gerlagh, followed by paper presentations discussed by senior scholar in the field.

SETI is pleased to announce a pre-conference workshop in Carcavelos, Portugal, ahead of WCERE 2026. The workshop will bring together researchers working on energy access and sustainable energy transitions, with a special focus on low- and middle-income countries, to share ongoing work, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration across regions and disciplines. The program will include opening remarks by the SETI Co-Leads, paper presentations, and a short meeting with attendees.
The call for papers is now closed. We thank all researchers who submitted original manuscripts or extended abstracts for consideration. Researchers and colleagues interested in SETI’s work are warmly encouraged to attend the event. JEEM / REE Workshop on Nonmarket Valuation

Location: University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Bilbao, Spain
The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) and Resource and Energy Economics (REE), in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), are delighted to announce the third joint Workshop on Nonmarket Valuation. Similar to the first two workshops in 2024 and 2025, the third workshop will be staged following the Annual Conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), which in 2026 coincides with the 7th World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE).
While the WCERE will be held in Carcavelos, Portugal, 29 June – 3 July, the workshop itself will take place at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao, Spain, a short direct flight from Lisbon.
The workshop will consist of two full days of presentations, starting in the morning of July 6, and ending in the afternoon of July 7.
